Francois Louw was probably one of the surprise inclusions in the Springbok Rugby World Cap Squad. After failing to impress in Peter de Villiers Tri-Nations squad in 2010 it seemed like he fell out of favor with the coach and the selectors. He has however had another impressive season in 2011 with with the Stormers playing the role of fetcher on the side of the scrum. He might have been lucky getting in the squad through injury to Juan Smith. But him just nipping the spot from the likes of Ashley Johnson and Jean Deysel probably means de Villiers will be looking to have a specialist fetcher on the field at all times. Louw will be playing for Bath in England after the World Cup.
