Ruan Pienaar is a versatile back that has represented his country at scrumhalf, flyhalf, fullback and wing. He has been selected as a back-up scrumhalf but will by no doubt play off the bench in any position he is needed. He a Product of rugby super school Grey College in Bloemfontein and started his career at the Cheetahs before moving to sunny Durban with the Sharks. The last few seasons he has been playing for Irish side Ulster. Interestingly he is part of the only Father/Son combination with World Cup winners medals. His dad Gysie, himself a Springbok, was part of the management team of the 1995 Springboks.
