The Rotorua International Stadium is the home of rugby for the local Bay of Plenty rugby team. The stadium is also equipped to host football and softball matches. The stadium features a covered stand with seating for up to 4,000 with uncovered seating area on the western side of the field.

The Rotorua International Stadium hosted the RWC 1987 Bronze Final, along with other test matches and British and Irish Lions matches.

The Rotorua International Stadium will play host to 3 pool matches.

Wednesday 14 September 2011 Samoa vs Namibia
Sunday 25 September 2011 Ireland vs Russia

Rotorua has a capacity of 26 000 seats and is situated approx. 10 minutes from central Rotorua.
