FOUNDATION | Up and Under

The Up and Under Foundation is a registered Non-Profit Company (NPC) established to:

Promote and develop youth and female rugby in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.
Provide financial aid and resources for underprivileged athletes.
Support schools and community-based rugby programmes.
Develop coaching and referee structures to enhance rugby development.
Obtain funding through sponsorships, donations, and fundraising initiatives.

Northern Region Player Development Programme

We host open regional training sessions to identify and train top talent from across the Northern Suburbs. Selected players in U14, U16, U18, and U20 squads represent the region in provincial festivals.

Excelsior Primary School Girls Rugby (U11 & U13)

Through the Foundation, we provide coaching and logistical support, enabling Excelsior’s girls to play consistently and develop within a structured rugby environment.

Northern Region Girls Rugby League Administration

We manage the league operations for 12+ high schools, including:

Fixtures & results
Video recordings and highlights
Player and match statistics
Promotion and outreach for school teams

This league is the only structured girls rugby league in the Western Cape, powered by grassroots commitment.

Parow High School Girls Rugby (U14–U18)

Parow High competes in the Northern Region League. Two coaches are funded by the Foundation to ensure consistent development and competitive play.

Bellville Primary School Girls Rugby (U11 & U13)

We’ve appointed two coaches to develop girls rugby at the school. The teams train regularly and participate in local matches, growing the sport from a young age.
