Butch James was a member of the winning 2007 World Cup Squad in France and played flyhalf in the final. Butch is known for his hard physical defense, gaining a reputation from referees and opponents alike . Hopefully he won’t tempt any referee to reach for his pocket in the next few weeks. Butch started his career at the Sharks before making a move to Bath in England after the 2007 World Cup. This year he was a poster signing for the Lions in the Super Rugby season. He showed great form and was instrumental in the wins they recorded at the end of the season.
